Return, Exchange, Cancellation & Refund Policy

This Return, Exchange & Refund Policy forms an integral part of the Terms & Conditions of Eye72.in. By placing an order on Eye72.in, you agree to the terms outlined below.
1. General Return Eligibility
Customers may request a return, replacement, or refund only in accordance with this policy.
To be eligible for a return:
- Product must be unused and undamaged.
- Product must be returned with original packaging, accessories, tags, cleaning cloth, case, invoice, and warranty card (if applicable).
- Return request must be initiated within the specified return window.
- Product must not show signs of wear, misuse, alteration, or damage caused by the customer.
Eye72 reserves the right to inspect returned products before approving refunds or exchanges.
2. 7-Day Easy Return Policy
Eligible products may be returned within 7 days of delivery if:
- Incorrect product delivered.
- Damaged product received.
- Manufacturing defect found.
- Product differs materially from the website description.
Customers must provide:
- Order number
- Photos of the product
- Photos of packaging
- Description of issue
3. Non-Returnable Products
The following products are generally non-returnable and non-refundable:
Prescription Eyeglasses
Since prescription eyewear is custom-made according to customer specifications, it cannot be resold and therefore is generally non-returnable except in cases of:
- Manufacturing defects
- Wrong prescription manufactured by Eye72
- Wrong product shipped
Customized Products
- Customized lenses
- Engraved products
- Special orders
- Personalized products
Gift Cards
Gift cards and promotional vouchers cannot be returned, exchanged, or redeemed for cash.
4. Prescription Accuracy Policy
Customers are solely responsible for providing:
- Accurate prescription details
- Correct SPH, CYL, AXIS, ADD values
- Correct pupillary distance (PD)
Eye72 shall not be liable for customer-submitted prescription errors.
Returns or refunds shall not be available where the issue arises from:
- Incorrect prescription submitted
- Outdated prescription
- Wrong PD measurement
- Customer preference changes after manufacturing
5. Manufacturing Defects
If a product contains a manufacturing defect, customers must notify Eye72 within 7 days of delivery.
Upon verification, Eye72 may:
- Repair the product
- Replace the product
- Issue a refund
at its sole discretion.
6. Damaged or Incorrect Orders
If a customer receives:
- Damaged eyewear
- Broken frame
- Damaged lenses
- Incorrect product
- Missing items
the issue must be reported within 48 hours of delivery.
Failure to report within this period may affect claim eligibility.
7. Exchange Policy
Eligible products may be exchanged subject to:
- Product availability
- Successful quality inspection
- Compliance with this policy
Price differences between exchanged products must be paid by the customer.
If the replacement product costs less, Eye72 may issue store credit or refund the difference at its discretion.
8. Refund Process
Once the returned product is received and inspected:
Approved Refunds
Refunds will be processed to the original payment method.
Estimated timelines:
- UPI: 3–7 business days
- Credit/Debit Cards: 5–10 business days
- Net Banking: 5–10 business days
- Wallets: 3–7 business days
Actual timelines may vary depending on banking partners.
9. Cash on Delivery (COD) Refunds
For Cash on Delivery orders:
- Refunds shall be processed through bank transfer, UPI, or other approved electronic methods.
- Customers may be required to provide bank account details for refund processing.
Cash refunds are not available.
10. Return Shipping Charges
Where the return is due to:
- Defective product
- Wrong item shipped
- Manufacturing defect
Eye72 will bear return shipping costs.
For customer preference-based returns (where permitted):
- Customer may bear return shipping costs.
- Original shipping charges may not be refundable.
11. Quality Inspection
All returned products undergo quality inspection.
Returns may be rejected if:
- Product is damaged after delivery.
- Product has been used.
- Original packaging is missing.
- Product is altered or repaired by unauthorized persons.
- Return request contains false claims.
12. Cancellation Policy
Before Shipment
Orders may be cancelled before dispatch for a full refund.
After Shipment
Orders that have already been shipped may not be cancelled and shall be governed by the Return Policy.
Customized Prescription Orders
Once prescription lens manufacturing has commenced:
- Cancellation requests may be refused.
- Applicable production costs may be deducted.
13. Refund Rejection
Eye72 reserves the right to reject refund requests involving:
- Fraudulent claims
- Chargeback abuse
- Repeated misuse of return policies
- Deliberate damage
- False defect claims
Accounts involved in abuse may be restricted or permanently suspended.
14. Consumer Rights
Nothing in this policy limits the rights available to consumers under:
- Consumer Protection Act, 2019
- Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020
- Applicable Indian laws
Customers retain all statutory rights available under law.
